Privacy & Data Governance Policy

Effective Date: August 2026 • WEES Alumni Welfare Trust (www.weesalumni.com)

Our Non-Commercial Non-Marketing Guarantee

WEES Alumni Welfare Trust is a charitable welfare entity. We will never sell, rent, license, trade, or distribute your personal records, contact information, phone numbers, or email addresses to commercial marketing firms, recruiters, or data aggregators. Your profile information is used strictly within the secure confines of the portal according to your chosen privacy settings.

1. Data Collected & Purpose

We collect personal details (name, batch year, academic history, residential addresses, emergency contact) and professional details (designation, company, skills, business logo) to build an authenticated alumni directory, support reunion organization, coordinate emergency welfare grants, and offer member mini-sites.

2. Granular Privacy Controls & Dynamic Contact Masking

Our platform implements a dual-profile security model:

  • Protected Internal Profiles: Personal contact numbers and emails are masked dynamically based on your chosen visibility level (Admin Only, Verified Batchmates Only, or All Alumni).
  • Public One-Pager Mini-Sites: Public visitors only see the professional information you explicitly enable (via allow_public_contact_display and allow_external_inquiries).
  • Directory Searchability: You can choose whether your profile appears in public or global search queries.
3. User Data Rights & Portability

You maintain complete ownership of your personal data. You may download a complete machine-readable copy of your profile data at any time in JSON format from the Privacy Settings panel, or request profile deactivation.

4. Infrastructure & Communication Security

All network traffic is encrypted via 256-bit SSL/TLS. External business inquiries submitted through your public one-pager are routed server-side without revealing your private inbox or telephone records.
